  • Natasha Idibia has returned to the Edo State House of Assembly after her maternity leave.
  • The wife of 2Baba expressed joy at resuming her duties months after welcoming their first child.

Natasha Idibia, wife of legendary singer 2Baba, has resumed her duties at the Edo State House of Assembly following her maternity leave.

The lawmaker shared a video on her Instagram story showing her at the Assembly, where she addressed her colleagues and expressed excitement about returning to work.

“I am happy to be back, too, from my maternity leave, Mr Speaker,” she said while speaking during a session.

The couple welcomed their first child together in November last year. However, they chose not to disclose the gender of the newborn, leaving fans speculating.

Her return to the Assembly has drawn congratulatory messages from supporters, who praised her for balancing family life and public service.

In other news…. In other news… Residents of Kebbi State have been left in shock following the arrest of a young boy accused of pretending to be deaf for nearly a year to secretly gather information for kidnappers.

The incident was disclosed by Abuzaidu Abubakar Yari in a Facebook post on Monday, March 2, 2026. According to him, the boy allegedly confessed during interrogation that he was sent alongside two others to spy on residents in the Makera Gandu area of Birnin Kebbi.

The suspect reportedly revealed that he had been trained in sign language to communicate with his accomplices without raising suspicion. Although he currently resides in Kebbi State, he is said to be originally from Niger State.

The revelation has raised concerns about the tactics used by criminal networks to monitor communities before carrying out kidnappings. Yari urged residents to remain vigilant, advising them to report any suspicious activity to security authorities.
