The graduation took place during the institute’s fourth convocation ceremony held recently in Lagos, attended by representatives of the National Board for Technical Education, including Hajira Abdulkadir.
Speaking at the event, the founder of the institute, Dr Daisy Obiano, said the Capelli Institute of Trichology was established to provide specialised education focused on the science of hair and scalp health, equipping learners with practical and professional competencies required in the growing wellness and beauty sector.
She described the institute as a training hub combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in trichology, hair therapy, scalp diagnosis and hair health management.
“The institute focuses on equipping learners with professional skills through robust theoretical and practical training,” Obiano said.
“We envisioned an institution that would raise professionals, not just practitioners; problem-solvers, not product pushers; and leaders, not followers, in the evolving world of trichology, hair therapy and wellness science.”
According to her, students of the 2024/2025 academic session underwent rigorous intellectual and practical training designed to strengthen professional ethics and technical competence.
“They learnt not only what to do, but also why to do it. They were trained to observe, question, consult, document and treat with integrity,” she said, adding that the institute’s philosophy is built on delivering truthful, compassionate and competent care to clients.
Obiano noted that knowledge-driven service has the potential to transform lives and deepen understanding of hair and scalp health through research, education and clinical excellence.
