In an interview on State Affairs with Edmund Obilo, a former commissioner in Edo State, Hon Abdul Oroh, spoke about the death of Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola in 1998
Hon. Oroh said two USA citizens, Susan Rice and Thomas Pickering, visited Abiola in detention. He said Susan Rice made a tea for Abiola and after he drank it, he had a seizure and died
Hon. Oroh stated that Susan Rice later wrote about Abiola’s death in a book, where she addressed what happened. He said she stated in her book that she was not responsible for the death of Abiola in any way
In Hon. Oroh’s words: “It was Susan Rice who made the tea. She wrote a book about it. She made the tea for Abiola, he drank it, he got a seizure and he died”
