No fewer than 19 more Nigerians have been added to a United States government list of foreign nationals slated for deportation due to criminal offenses.

Information obtained on Sunday from the website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security shows that the fresh update has pushed the total number of Nigerians scheduled for removal to 113.

The latest group was convicted for different crimes, including sexual assault involving a minor, fraud, assault, drug trafficking and money laundering.

According to details published on the agency’s platform, the individuals were arrested by officials of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will be sent back to Nigeria after immigration processes are completed.

The department described those on the list as foreign nationals with criminal records who were taken into custody as part of ongoing enforcement efforts.

It also linked the operation to directives under President Donald Trump, stating that deportation moves are focused first on non-citizens convicted of serious crimes.

Among the newly added Nigerians are Adeolu Solabu, Oladayo Agboola, Chinonso Ochie, Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime, Samuel Omorodion, Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi and Mkpouto Etukudoh.

Others listed are Marcus Unigwe, Kehinde James, Blessing Uchanma, Victor Adebisi, Richard Ugbah, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Okechukwu Amadi, Femi Jolayemi, Anthony Asanya, Izuchukwu Okoye and Ebele Agbasiele.

The action forms part of a broader move by US authorities targeting undocumented migrants and those with criminal convictions.

79 convicted Nigerians were first named for deportation after their arrest by immigration officers.

Within three weeks, the figure increased to 113 following the addition of the new names.
