Police have urged residents to exercise heightened caution following the tragic death of Thandazile Ngomane from Nelspruit.
According to preliminary reports, Ngomane had allegedly been in communication with an individual who promised her employment. She was reportedly instructed to report for work at 7:00am and subsequently left her home to meet the prospective employer.
Tragically, she did not return home. Her body was later discovered in a river, sending shockwaves through her community and prompting an urgent police investigation. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances that led to her death, but investigations are ongoing.
Law enforcement officials have indicated that they are working to trace the individual who allegedly contacted Ngomane regarding the job offer. Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could assist with the investigation to come forward.
