A self-proclaimed native doctor has been arrested for allegedly attempting to kill a 10-year-old boy for suspected ritual purposes in Kuidawa village, Katsina State.
NGGOSSIPS Metro gathered that the incident occurred on February 22, 2026, at around 7:30 pm.
A counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, who shared details of the case on X, alleged that the suspect lured the boy into a bush before pushing him into a well.
Makama wrote, “According to sources, on February 22 at about 7:30 pm, a self-styled native doctor, popularly known as Boka, lured Alhassan Usman into a nearby bush and pushed him into a well.
“The boy was later rescued on February 23 by a Good Samaritan and taken to the General Hospital, Katsina, with varying degrees of injuries.”
He added that the police later arrested the suspect, who reportedly confessed to the crime.
“During the investigation, the suspect was traced, arrested, and reportedly confessed to the offence, claiming he was preparing charms for one Khalid, who is still at large.
“The case remains under investigation for culpable homicide, unlawful juju, and cultism,” Makama wrote.
Efforts to obtain a reaction from the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Aliyu, were unsuccessful, as he had not responded to messages sent to him as of the time this report was filed.
