Kepha Ngugi tragically lost his life in Dubai three months after relocating to the country for greener pastures. The death of the young family man broke many hearts at home, and to add salt to injury, the family had to grapple with repatriating his body for burial in Kenya.

A fundraising appeal was underway to support both the funeral and repatriation expenses for the bereaved family, and his family even shared ways through which Kenyans could help raise money for them.

The body of Ngugi was brought back home by a man identified as Aloise Kinyanjui, who is an aspirant in Juja constituency. Kinyanjui is the brother of former Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria.

“Back home in Kenya, his wife was left in an unimaginable distress. Overwhelmed by grief and uncertainty, she did not know how she would ever manage to bring her husband’s remains back home for a dignified burial. For an entire month, the family endured agony, sleepless nights, and emotional pain. Each passing day felt heavier than the last as hope slowly faded,” said Kinyanjui’s handler.

In the midst of that darkness, Aloise Kinyanjui read their story on NgGossips and, moved by their suffering, he chose not to look away.

“He stepped up and took full responsibility for the costs and logistical arrangements required to repatriate the body of Ngugi back in Kenya,” he told NgGossips.

How did Kinyanjui know of Ngugi’s death?

Within three days, Kinyanjui fulfilled his promise, and Ngugi’s remains were successfully brought home, allowing the family to prepare a decent and honourable send-off for their beloved husband and father.

“Today, the family and residents of Weteithie are filled with gratitude. What seemed impossible became possible because one leader chose kindness over indifference,” he said.

“Ngugi’s wife and children are especially thankful, offering heartfelt prayers that God may bless Kinyanjui abundantly for standing with them in their darkest hour,” added the handler.

In a time of grief, he gave them comfort. In a moment of despair, he restored hope.

Kuria missing at brother’s traditional ceremony

In anther story, Kenyans were wondering why Moses Kuria skipped the traditional ceremony of his brother, Kinyanjui, who was held in Gatundu South.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was at the ceremony, leaving Kenyans to question where Kuria was.
