Veteran Nollywood actor Olu Olowogemo, popularly known as Mr. Portable, has explained why he supported the campaign of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an interview on BEHIND THE FAME, Olowogemo clarified that his decision to join the campaign was not motivated by financial gain. He explained that his support stemmed from affection and cultural identity, noting that Tinubu’s Yoruba heritage played a significant role in his choice.
The actor admitted that, like many supporters, he might have anticipated some form of appreciation, but he stressed that he was not disappointed when nothing materialized. According to him, his participation was driven by loyalty rather than expectation.
Olowogemo emphasized that no politician has offered him any substantial assistance or support throughout his career. He maintained that his contribution to Tinubu’s campaign was purely voluntary and rooted in personal conviction rather than transactional politics.
His words,
“I joined the campaign of Bola Ahmed Tinubu not because of personal gain but out of love and because he’s a Yoruba man. Of course, I might have expected something small in return. But I wasn’t hurt when I received nothing. So, I can’t say any politician really helped or gave me anything significant.”Please Share 🙏…
