Popular Nigerian actress, Eniola Badmus, has threatened legal action against an X user over allegations of pimping girls to top Nigerian politicians for money.
Badmus declared that she will not overlook the accusation linking her to an alleged exploitation network.
The controversy erupted after a post by a user identified as @Femzydr1 accused the actress of acting as an intermediary between young women and influential figures in the entertainment and political space.
The unverified claim alleged that she connected girls to movie directors, executives and politicians, and suggested that she gained access to political circles through such networks.
“Popular Yoruba Actress Eniola Badmus is reportedly a private pimp in Nigeria and in the movie industry, linking young girls up with top directors, movie executives, and Nigerian politicians.
“She surely gained entry into the political scene through this network, and many young girls have been exploited & used for different purposes by politicians through her connections”, the tweet says.
The allegation quickly circulated on the social media platform, drawing mixed reactions from users.
While some demanded evidence to support the serious claims, others reacted with disbelief and humour as the post gained traction.
Denying the allegations on X, the actress threatened to take legal action against the user, noting that she doesn’t have a forgiven spirit.
Reposting the post, Eniola wrote; “This is the attention you’ve been craving for, so let’s get into it. This is a false accusation and the authorities will step in. Let it be known that we don’t forgive in this zone.”
The allegations came about three years after a lady identified as Oge called the actress out for being a professional pimp.
However, after she was arrested, Oge explained that she was paid N200,000 to accuse the actress.
