Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Taraba State Traditional Council in Jalingo, where he urged traditional rulers to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration and to promote peace and tolerance across the state.
Speaking during the visit, Shettima assured that the Tinubu administration remains firmly committed to the stability and development of Taraba State. He emphasised that national progress depends largely on unity among the people, noting that development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of division.

According to the vice president, political differences should not overshadow the collective responsibility of citizens to work together for peace and sustainable growth. He described traditional rulers as critical partners in maintaining harmony and fostering grassroots support for government policies.
The Taraba State Traditional Council welcomed the vice president and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace and supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
