Social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) has taken a swipe at businessman BLord over his claim that he owns the trademark to the name Ratel, describing the assertion as baseless and a calculated attempt to draw attention.
The dispute started after BLord warned VDM to stop using the name, insisting that he has exclusive rights to it and that anyone who wishes to use it must first obtain his consent.
Reacting on his Instagram page, VDM dismissed the claim and questioned why no official documents had been presented to support it.
“First things first, to show you how stupid a lot of you are and how dumb you are. Where is the certificate? Where is your acceptance letter?” VDM said.
He expressed disbelief that someone he described as experienced in advertising and branding would make such a serious claim without backing it up with evidence.
“I did not believe that somebody like BLord that knows about advertising, that knows about branding, will foolish himself like this,” he added.
VDM went on to explain that although the names Ratel, The Ratel, and Ratel NG were reportedly submitted for trademark registration in September 2024, submitting an application alone does not confer ownership.
According to him, instead of harming his brand, the controversy has only amplified the visibility of Ratel.
The video has since generated widespread reactions online, with many social media users supporting VDM and urging BLord to release the trademark documents if his claims are genuine.
For now, the key question remains unanswered: where is the Ratel trademark certificate? Until the documents are made public, the standoff between VeryDarkMan and BLord appears far from settled.
