President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a leading global platform on sustainable development.
The president’s aircraft touched down at Zayed International Airport at about 11:30 p.m. local time. He was received on arrival by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Tinubu is in the UAE at the official invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a premier annual summit that brings together world leaders, industry experts, investors, and civil society organisations to deliberate on pressing global challenges. Discussions at the summit will focus on energy innovation, climate action, and financial frameworks required to accelerate renewable energy transitions.
At the summit, President Tinubu is expected to advance Nigeria’s sustainable development agenda, positioning the country as a key destination for renewable energy investment while seeking partnerships that support national growth and economic transformation.
The 2026 edition of ADSW, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” focuses on translating climate ambitions into concrete action through three core pillars: innovation, finance, and people.
