The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated Osun-born jurist, Hon. Justice Joseph Olubunmi Kayode Oyewole, on his recommendation for appointment to the Supreme Court by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The governor described the elevation as a clear affirmation of Oyewole’s integrity and his capacity to dispense justice at the highest level in the country.
Adeleke, in a congratulatory message signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said Justice Oyewole embodies integrity and that his commitment to justice is widely acknowledged. He added that his elevation to the Supreme Court will further empower the court to deliver justice effectively to Nigerians.
He expressed confidence that, based on Justice Oyewole’s more than two decades of service on the bench, marked by effective and dispassionate adjudication, the jurist would excel in his new role.
“I heartily congratulate Hon. Justice Joseph Olubunmi Kayode Oyewole on his appointment to the bench of the Supreme Court. Hon. Justice Oyewole embodies integrity, and his commitment to justice is unparalleled,” Adeleke said.
“His elevation to Nigeria’s topmost court is a proud moment for us in Osun, and on behalf of the good people of the state, I celebrate this remarkable achievement. Going by his antecedents in effectively and dispassionately dispensing justice over more than two decades on the bench, I have no iota of doubt that Hon. Justice Oyewole will excel in this new role.”
The governor also prayed for divine guidance for Justice Oyewole and urged him to uphold the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and justice, which he is well known for in the discharge of his judicial duties.
