Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has once again found himself at the centre of public discussion following the release of new footage by social media commentator and blogger, Tosin Silverdam, who previously accused the singer of being arrested in the United Kingdom.
Back in October 2025, Tosin alleged that 2Baba got into a heated confrontation with his wife, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, shortly after the singer arrived in the UK for his tour. According to him, the disagreement escalated to the point where law enforcement was called in, resulting in 2Baba being taken away by police.
The singer later denied the claims, explaining that he missed his scheduled performance due to a medical emergency, not because of any altercation or arrest.
In response to the circulating rumours at the time, 2Baba appeared in a light-hearted video with Natasha and another individual inside what looked like a studio, laughing off the allegations.
However, Tosin Silverdam remained adamant that his information was accurate. He later released purported conversations involving the show organisers and other individuals, insisting that his initial claims were valid.
On Monday, December 1, the blogger intensified the controversy by posting a video on Instagram which he claimed captured the moment 2Baba was arrested in the UK. He also released another clip said to show the alleged confrontation between the singer and his wife at Gatwick Airport. Tosin alleged that the dispute stemmed from jealousy, claiming Natasha was upset over the attention 2Baba was receiving.
While sharing the video, Tosin Silverdam captioned:
“Video of Tuface Idibia Being Arrested by the Police in the UK After an Alleged Altercation with His Wife Natasha… and Video of Heated Argument at the Airport… The Video Is Finally Out.”
The footage shared by Tosin, which he claims shows the singer’s arrest and the airport confrontation, has continued to generate widespread reactions online.
