President Bola Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja on a three-state visit covering Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states, ahead of the end-of-year holidays.
In Borno State, the President is expected to commission a number of projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the federal government. He will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Maiduguri, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State for a condolence visit following the death of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the renowned Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood. The cleric passed away on November 27.
After the condolence visit, the President will travel to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.
While in Lagos, Tinubu is expected to serve as guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.
The festival will honour several prominent figures, including the President’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
