President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigeria’s security and intelligence chiefs to intensify efforts and deliver stronger results in the fight against insecurity across the country.
The president met with service chiefs and heads of intelligence agencies on Tuesday at the State House, Abuja.
The closed-door session lasted for over an hour.
Speaking after the meeting, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, described the discussions as “engaging,” noting that President Tinubu issued new directives aimed at achieving better outcomes in countering all forms of insecurity.
General Oluyede assured Nigerians that the security agencies are now coordinating more effectively and are committed to ensuring a peaceful and safe yuletide season nationwide.
