President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, describing him as one of the standout performers in his cabinet.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Wike for a life marked by purpose, service and courage, thanking God for his achievements and continued contributions to national development.
Tinubu described the former Rivers State governor as an audacious and result-driven leader who consistently overcomes challenges, noting that his performance has reinforced his reputation as a strong executor of projects.
The president specifically acknowledged ongoing infrastructural transformation in the FCT, highlighting the recent breakthrough in the long-stalled Apo–Karshi road project, which had remained unresolved for 14 years before Wike’s intervention.
He praised the minister’s resilience, “can-do” attitude and commitment to excellence, saying these qualities have translated into visible development across the nation’s capital.
Tinubu also lauded Wike’s role in advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that his contributions have stood out despite his membership of a different political party.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” the President said.
Tinubu wished the FCT minister a happy birthday and prayed for renewed strength as he continues his assignment in the Federal Capital Territory.
