The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, President Tinubu was invited by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to participate in the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026), scheduled to hold in early January.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is an annual, week-long summit that convenes leaders from government, business and civil society to deliberate on strategies for advancing sustainable development.
The 2026 edition of the summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”, is expected to align ambition with action across innovation, finance and human capital, while highlighting pathways for global progress.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
