The visit followed a period of heightened fear and anxiety within the community. Senator Tambuwal paid a courtesy call to the palace of the District Head of Jabo, His Royal Highness Aliyu Zaki Garba, where he commended the traditional ruler for his hands-on leadership and proactive engagement with his people during the tense period.
The senator also lauded the people of Jabo for their restraint and composure, highlighting that their calm conduct was essential to maintaining stability and preventing further escalation.
Addressing residents, Senator Tambuwal emphasised that terrorism and terrorists pose a threat to all and highlighted that combating insecurity is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all people of goodwill.
He urged the community to continue supporting security agencies and all levels of government, remain vigilant, and work closely with constituted authorities to safeguard their communities.
Senator Tambuwal expressed confidence that with sustained cooperation and collective effort, lasting peace would be achievable in Sokoto State and across Nigeria.
He described the visit as part of his ongoing commitment to engage with communities affected by insecurity and to strengthen dialogue between residents and security agencies.
The delegation was warmly received by both the traditional leadership and the people of Jabo, who welcomed the reassurance and support extended by the senator.
