Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, to attend events marking the 45th anniversary of the 16th Emir of Gumel, His Royal Highness Ahmed Mohammed Sani II (CON).
Shettima touched down at Dutse International Airport, where he was welcomed by Jigawa State Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, senior government officials, and heads of security agencies.
During the celebration, the Vice President is expected to highlight the Emir’s longstanding contributions to national development and his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope reform agenda.
Accompanying Shettima on the visit are the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President), Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadeija; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari; and former federal lawmaker Hon. Farouk Adamu Aliyu, among other dignitaries.
