Barely 24 hours after being sworn in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), has officially assumed duty at the Ministry of Defence.
The Minister arrived at the Ministry’s Ship House headquarters in Abuja to an enthusiastic reception, as staff members chanted solidarity songs to welcome him on his first day in office.
General Musa was received by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, who led a delegation of service chiefs to formally welcome him and provide a comprehensive briefing on ongoing security operations and key administrative issues.
His assumption of office marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Defence Ministry as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to strengthen national security and address evolving threats across the country.
