The governor made the remarks during the dedication service of Archibong’s son, Emmanuel EkeminiAbasi Frank Archibong, held at Insight Bible Church, Nsikak Eduok Avenue, Uyo.
“Frank is a character so consistent and reliable. By gathering this crowd and class of people in the State for this event, he has demonstrated his strength of character and who he truly is,” Governor Eno said. “He has been a strong pillar of support for me, always contributing consistently to the success of our mandate.”
Governor Eno expressed gratitude to God for blessing the Archibong family with a new baby after many years of waiting. “What God has done for this family is worth celebrating. I am delighted that we are all gathered here to rejoice with them to the glory of God,” he added.
The governor commended Archibong for his commitment and effective leadership in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. “Frank is called ‘the Royal Commissioner’ by our paramount rulers, reflecting the love and confidence they have in him. He has always defended and advocated for them,” he noted.
Commissioner Archibong and his wife, Dr Bright Archibong, in their vote of thanks, thanked God for His blessings and appreciated Governor Eno for his exceptional care. The commissioner acknowledged that his achievements in government were made possible by the governor’s confidence in him.
The service featured a sermon by Pastor Sylvanus Ukafia on the theme, “The Great Light: What We Gain Because Jesus Came,” drawn from Isaiah 9:2. Pastor Ukafia highlighted the spiritual benefits of Jesus’ coming, including access, identity, alignment, authority, fellowship, and immortality, urging Christians to embrace their authority in Christ.
Governor Eno’s entourage included Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Secretary to the state government Prince Enobong Uwah, members of the State Executive Council, clergy, political leaders, captains of industry, and other government officials.
