First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to demonstrate love, kindness, compassion, and other values that unite, as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this yuletide season.
In a Christmas message, Mrs. Tinubu called on citizens to use the festive period as a time for reflection and generosity, particularly towards the less privileged.
“Merry Christmas! In this Yuletide season, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ with our families and friends, let us be reminded of the values that unite us — love, compassion, kindness, and generosity. It is a time to count our blessings and extend a helping hand to those who need it most,” she said.
The First Lady also prayed for peace and security across the country, calling on Nigerians to live together in harmony regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
“We thank the Lord for His faithfulness, and we pray for peace in our nation, for the safety of Christians, Muslims, and those of other faiths,” she added.
Expressing optimism about the future, Mrs. Tinubu wished Nigerians unity, renewed hope, and prosperity in the coming year.
“I wish each of you a peaceful and joyous holiday season, and I pray that 2026 will usher in greater unity, renewed hope, and prosperity for us all. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she said.
