President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, on his 65th birthday, praising him as a principled reformer and an unwavering defender of the nation.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday, the president lauded Ribadu’s integrity, professionalism, and long-standing commitment to public service, noting that his contributions have left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s governance and security architecture.
Tinubu recalled Ribadu’s pioneering role as the first executive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he led efforts to strengthen the country’s anti-corruption system and entrench accountability.
“Since we struck a close relationship over 15 years ago, I have come to acknowledge and appreciate Nuhu’s honesty, forthrightness and camaraderie,” Tinubu said.
The president described Ribadu as a patriotic and loyal member of his Renewed Hope administration, adding that he remains candid and steadfast in the discharge of his duties as the country’s security chief.
As Ribadu marks his 65th birthday today, Tinubu prayed for God’s continued blessings on him. “I fervently pray that Almighty Allah will grant him good health and greater wisdom to continue serving our beloved country,” he said.
