President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies.
A statement from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation listed the new appointees as Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama John Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Abdul Sule Usman (North Central), Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu (South East).
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, said the appointments were the outcome of a rigorous and transparent selection process conducted in line with the Tinubu administration’s commitment to merit and excellence in the civil service.
Walson-Jack congratulated the new Permanent Secretaries and commended President Tinubu for what she described as his unwavering commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and professionalism in public administration.
She added that the appointments reflect the administration’s determination to build a competent, accountable, and results-driven civil service capable of meeting the needs of Nigerians.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are expected to assume duty in their respective portfolios immediately.
