In a statement issued on Monday by the Commission’s Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Fatima Sanda Usara, the revised fares are as follows:
The statement explained that the new fares were computed based on an exchange rate of ₦1,443 per US dollar, resulting in reductions of ₦539,013.00, ₦548,043.91, and ₦569,871.91 for pilgrims from the three respective zones.
NAHCON advised all intending pilgrims to complete their Hajj fare payments on or before December 5, 2025, to ensure timely transfer of funds into the Commission’s IBAN account in line with Saudi Arabia’s payment framework.
According to the statement, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set December 21, 2025, as the final deadline for remitting all payments for basic service contracts and has stated that there will be no extension.
“Transfers into IBAN accounts take between 10 days to two weeks before being credited, hence the need to set an earlier internal deadline of December 5,” the statement noted.
It further disclosed that following a meeting held on November 10, 2025, NAHCON announced that previous slot allocations to states no longer apply. Henceforth, state pilgrim boards that remit their Hajj fares earlier will secure slots on a first-come, first-served basis according to the number of registered pilgrims.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Forum of States, Alhaji Idris Almakura, urged his members to conclude all official engagements in Saudi Arabia swiftly and return to Nigeria to mobilise for timely Hajj registration, given the urgency of meeting the Saudi quota and payment deadlines.
