The announcement was issued by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, on Wednesday.
According to the government, the measures take immediate effect in schools located in Ifelodun, Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin, and Oke Ero Local Government Areas, underscoring its determination to curb the activities of kidnappers who may attempt to use schoolchildren as human shields amid intensified security crackdowns.
The enhanced security steps also cover boarding schools in Irepodun, identified as potential targets for criminals seeking to evade widening security operations.
The government added that the measures will remain in place pending further security clearance for normal school activities to resume.
