A Nigerian photojournalist, Victor Ekene, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @modovictorekene, has openly challenged Senator Ned Nwoko’s claim of constructing a “modern mini-stadium” with a standard football pitch in Issele-Uku, Delta State.
In a post shared on X, Victor revealed that he drove from Owerri to Issele-Uku after seeing the senator’s Facebook announcement, hoping to verify the project for himself. However, he expressed disappointment upon arrival.
He wrote:
“My senator, @Prince_NedNwoko made a post on Facebook that made me drive down from Owerri to Issele-Uku this morning to be amazed. Sadly I was amused. Also, I always ensure I do my videos as respectably as possible.”
The photojournalist implied that the state of the project did not align with the senator’s claims of a completed modern facility. Although Victor did not detail what he found on-site in the viral post, many social media users interpreted his statement as a subtle expose on what they described as “false political PR.”
The tweet has since sparked heated debate on social media, with residents and observers demanding clarity on the actual progress of the Issele-Uku mini-stadium project. While some defended the senator, urging patience as construction continues, others commended Victor for taking the initiative to verify the claim firsthand.
