President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has arrived at the State House, Abuja, for a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Sierra Leonean leader, who is the current Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), arrived at the Presidential Villa around 9:00 p.m. on Friday, where he was received by senior government officials.
While details of the meeting have not yet been made public, discussions are expected to focus on regional peace, political stability, and economic cooperation within the West African subregion.
Meanwhile, Bio had posted on X that he departed Freetown for Abuja to serve as the Commencement Speaker at the 12th Convocation Ceremony of Baze University and to engage leading African business executives in a high-level investment forum.
President Tinubu, the immediate past ECOWAS Chairman, is hosting President Bio as part of ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening the regional bloc and addressing current challenges facing member states.
