In a statement signed on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who died on Thursday at the age of 101, lived a life dedicated to scholarship, peace and moral guidance.
The party noted that the late leader of the Tijaniyya Muslim Brotherhood was a devout Islamic scholar, preacher and respected teacher of the Qur’an whose contributions to religious education and national harmony were immeasurable.
“The death of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi has created a yawning void that will be difficult to fill,” the statement said.
The APC extended its condolences to his family, the people and government of Bauchi State, and the wider Muslim community, praying for Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
