The claim arose after Tyla previewed her upcoming single, Chanel, on social media this Thursday. Yung Miami alleges that she had previously shared her unreleased track, also titled Chanel, with Tyla, who then allegedly took inspiration from it.
Expressing her frustration, the rapper revealed that seeing Tyla’s teaser left her feeling upset. “This girl really ran off with my song, and I don’t know how to feel about it. Mind you, I played this song for this girl,” Yung Miami stated.
When a fan inquired, Yung Miami confirmed that her comments were directed at Tyla.
The allegations have ignited renewed discussions about intellectual property rights and the interactions between Afro-American and African artists in the music industry.
As of now, Tyla has not commented on the situation.
