President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, celebrated on Tuesday, October 14.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Olukoyede for his professionalism, courage, and dedication to the anti-corruption fight, noting that his leadership has strengthened the EFCC’s mission to rid Nigeria of economic and financial crimes.
President Tinubu highlighted the EFCC chairman’s efforts in promoting transparency, reforming anti-graft institutions, and implementing new initiatives to tackle financial offences. He particularly lauded the establishment of the Special Task Force on Currency Offences, which targets naira abuse and the dollarisation of the economy, as well as the strategic measures introduced to combat cybercrime and economic sabotage.
The President prayed for continued wisdom and guidance for Olukoyede, expressing hope that his determination will further contribute to freeing Nigeria from longstanding economic challenges.
