In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Dabiri-Erewa’s pivotal role in harnessing the potential of Nigerians in the diaspora to drive progress in key sectors such as education, health, and sports.
Tinubu lauded her illustrious career, which began in broadcasting at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before her transition to politics, where she served three consecutive terms in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2015. During her tenure, she chaired the House Committees on Media and Publicity as well as on Diaspora Affairs.
The President described Dabiri-Erewa as a dedicated public servant whose compassion, diligence, and leadership have consistently advanced the welfare of Nigerians both at home and abroad. He noted that her numerous awards and recognitions over the years stand as a testament to her commitment to excellence and service to humanity.
