In a video that quickly went viral, the Zazoo Zeh singer criticized those who flaunt the latest iPhone 17 yet lack essentials such as a car or a stable place to live.
“You dey use iPhone 17, you no get 4 tyres, you go soon tire,” Portable warned in his signature street slang, highlighting that misplaced priorities can lead to unnecessary struggles and disappointment.
The artist, renowned for his candid street wisdom, encouraged young Nigerians to invest in personal growth and hard work rather than chasing social media recognition through expensive phones.
In the same clip, Portable also accused some importers and phone dealers of introducing fake iPhone 17 models into the Nigerian market. He expressed concern that many buyers are unable to distinguish genuine devices from counterfeit ones.
“Una don bring thief, una don bring Chinese. They want to dupe you, una dey spoil people business,” he lamented, sympathizing with those who unknowingly purchase fake phones and subsequently face ridicule.
