In other news… Social media has been thrown into a frenzy after a viral post emerged, promising ₦1 million monthly to anyone willing to spend six months in Kuje Prison.
The bizarre offer, which quickly spread across platforms such as TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook, claimed to be looking for a volunteer to serve the jail term in exchange for a generous reward.
According to the message, the supposed recruiter pledged to pay ₦1 million each month during the six-month sentence and an additional ₦5 million for medical checks upon release.
The post read in part:
“If you can or know any guy that can serve jail time pls dm. Duration is 6 months in KUJE prison. ₦1 million monthly would be paid to your family or friend, and extra ₦5 million when you’re out. Note: offense is state, not federal.”
The unusual proposition has sparked heated debate online. While some users found the post amusing, others condemned it as a disturbing reflection of desperation and declining moral values in society.
