Dr Honour Sirawoo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, confirmed the development in a statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the new SSG, a former Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly will be sworn in today at 4:00 p.m. at the State Executive Council Chambers, in Port Harcourt.
Following Governor Fubara’s return to office on September 18, the Rivers State House of Assembly, at its first sitting after the lifting of the emergency rule, called on the governor to submit a fresh list of commissioner nominees for screening, alongside the 2025 budget for passage.
