Businessman and nightlife promoter Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has drawn fresh admiration from fans after showcasing a personal community project in Owerri.
In a series of Instagram story posts, the celebrity barman whose recent viral chat with close friend Davido sparked buzz highlighted a road he financed and built in his hometown. Okechukwu explained that he owns just one house on the street where the new road is located, in Area H, New Owerri, and challenged followers to consider what they have contributed to their own communities.
He emphasized that true success lies in using wealth to uplift others, describing such generosity as the real measure of manhood. Hailing himself in Igbo as Iheabata 1 of Owerri and tagging his clips with #CPisNotSmall, Cubana Chiefpriest said that even those who have not directly benefited from him can still feel his impact by simply driving on the road.
The videos showed a drum roller leveling gravel and sand while a worker guided the operator. At the time of filming, the final asphalt layer had yet to be applied.
Okechukwu also shared footage from another personal project a new mansion under construction in Owerri. He noted that he wants to recreate the luxury and beauty he enjoys in Lagos within his hometown, urging fans to “go back home and invest,” adding that while Lagos is exciting, nothing compares to one’s roots.
This isn’t his first grand gesture toward his community. During his birthday celebrations a few months ago, Cubana Chiefpriest hosted a carnival-style party in Owerri, distributing food and supplies to residents in a show of hometown pride.
