In other news….. Police in Rivers State have paraded a pastor and two church leaders captured in a viral video whipping minors, aged five to nine, during a “spiritual cleansing” ceremony.
The footage shows the cleric striking each child with palm leaves before sending them to a group labeled “cleansed.”
He claimed the ritual, which included sprinkling pigeon blood mixed with water on the children, was done under the directive of the Holy Spirit.

The parents of the children stormed the police station to show solidarity to their pastor. They claim they willingly handed over their children to their pastor as instructed by the Holy Spirit so he can purify them and avert de@th, disaster and other vices.
The children have all been taken into protective custody.
In other news…… A Nigerian job seeker has shared a funny story of how a failed job interview surprisingly turned into a free lunch.
Identified on X as @Omolomo_o, he narrated that he attended a job interview that quickly began to go downhill. Realising his chances of securing the position were slim, he found a silver lining when the interviewer walked in carrying a takeaway meal.
According to him, the boss, out of courtesy, invited everyone present to share the food. Without hesitation, he washed his hands and joined in, enjoying the amala and ewedu.
“I remember going for a job interview. The boss walked in with food in a takeaway plastic and, out of courtesy, said, ‘Come and eat’ to everyone. I stood up, washed my hands, and joined him to eat the amala he bought. He let me eat, but I knew that was my first and last day there. I don see as the interview dey go, I no get any chances of getting employed and I came on empty stomach. I can’t lose both ways, please,” he recounted.
His lighthearted confession amused many social media users, who applauded his honesty and humorous approach to a disappointing situation.
