  • Temitope Osoba discussed her cancer battle and its impact on her motherhood journey.
  • She underwent multiple medical tests to confirm that the cancer had not spread.
  • The experience posed significant challenges to her aspirations of becoming a mother.

Nollywood star Temitope Osoba has revealed that her battle with cancer nearly stood in the way of her becoming a mother.

In a conversation with Oyinmomo TV, she shared that she went through numerous medical tests to ensure the illness had not spread.

Temitope recounted that her doctors initially warned her that she might not be able to conceive for the next five years due to the impact of her medications on a potential pregnancy.

Refusing to accept this prognosis, she relied on her faith, engaging in dedicated prayer and fasting to overcome the challenge.

She said, “I was told I had cancer and that further tests would be carried out to check how far it had spread. The doctors also said I wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications I’d have to take, as they could affect the baby.

“Hearing that at 38 years old was devastating. I couldn’t imagine waiting that long. But I rejected the report and held on to my faith in God. I began the journey with prayer and fasting, combining both the medical and the spiritual. When I did a CT scan, it came out negative; the cancer hadn’t spread. Eventually, they performed a second surgery to remove the remaining tumour”.
