  • The Aquaman star said his leash snapped seven miles into a 13-mile paddle near the dangerous “Jaws” surf break, leaving him stranded almost a mile offshore in strong winds.

Jason Momoa has recalled a near-death experience during a 2007 paddleboarding trip in Hawaii.

The Aquaman star said his leash snapped seven miles into a 13-mile paddle near the dangerous “Jaws” surf break, leaving him stranded almost a mile offshore in strong winds.

As 10-foot waves crashed over him, the 46-year-old admitted exhaustion and panic soon set in.

“I was stuck in this crazy spot on the outer reef. They couldn’t see me,”

“I was waving my paddle, but the waves were too big.” he said.

The actor said thoughts of his three-month-old daughter made him even more desperate, and at one point, his arms and legs gave out. “I literally gave up,” he admitted.

Just as panic set in, Momoa’s toe hit a reef and a friend spotted him in time to help.

They still had to paddle seven more miles through rough waters before reaching shore, leaving Momoa’s feet cut and bleeding, but thankful to have survived.

“Head down, just paddling with my ancestors,” he said.

In other news…. In a heartfelt and emotionally charged Instagram video, Rex did not hold back his frustration over what he described as a blatant violation of intellectual property rights. He lamented that the unauthorized airing of films is not just a minor offense but a serious act that undermines the very foundation of the film industry. According to him, every production is the result of months sometimes years of planning, creativity, and financial investment.

Rex explained that behind every movie are teams of actors, directors, writers, crew members, and producers who pour their energy, time, and skills into bringing a vision to life. When these works are broadcast without consent, he said, it strips creators of the recognition and financial returns they deserve.

He further stressed that such actions discourage investors from supporting future projects, as the risk of losing revenue to piracy or unauthorized use is high. For him, this is not simply about money, but also about respect for the artistry and effort behind filmmaking. Rex called on both fans and industry stakeholders to take the issue seriously, urging them to support legal viewing platforms.

His message was clear: protecting creative work is essential to sustaining the growth of the movie industry.

“Ghana TV station, Ghana TV Station. The TV station wey dey show our film for free. Na Ogun wey go kpai all of una. Ghana entertainment will continue to be behind. As e be say nobody wan get sense tell una say that thing wey una dey no good. I’m using this opportunity to call out all of Ghana TV stations. You guys are all stupid. No disrespect to my fans, you guys know that I love you but e don dey too much. Enough is Enough. I just released Prince of Peace, una don stream am. Why?”
