In other news…. A Nigerian man has questioned celebrity chef Hilda Baci’s plan to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice in a six-by-six meter pot.

In a TikTok video, user @sleekpapi_ highlighted potential issues, including sudden rain, birds dropping waste, workers falling while stirring, and uneven cooking or burning at the bottom.

The clip sparked online debate, with some agreeing with his concerns while others expressed confidence in Baci’s ability to handle the challenge.

“What if it rains? This is a very big pot. How are they going to cover it quickly, especially since they’ll need to open it to add spices?” he asked.

“What if a bird flies past and drops shit inside? What if someone falls in—not Hilda, since she has experience, but one of her workers who may not be as experienced? I see they are using ladders to climb and reach the food. What if someone slips and falls inside?”

“That would be a real burnt offering. And this food—is it not too much? How will the spoon have enough strength to turn it?”

“Even in this test run, you can see the stress it takes to stir with that very long and heavy spoon. When the food gets to a higher level and starts burning at the bottom, how will she be able to turn it properly and make sure the ingredients spread evenly? There are so many questions to ask. How will the heat even rise and cook the food well?”

See some reactions below:

Sexy or nothing: “I believe she has settled all that she knows what she’s doing my only concern is this the spoon I would have preferred a wood spoons.”

Evelyn ♥️🙈: “They should organize for the sharing too o cos I go vex if the food waste or stampede happens, cause the kinda crowd that will come to eat free food eh.”

Otus Tee: “Hilda is very smart I know she will have asked herself all this questions before going on this project so let’s just wait till than I’m very sure she has everything put in place.”

pearlgoddess: “I just they pity Hilda baci because is this rice no sweet ehh wahals go dey because they way them to throw her inside the pot ehh.”

VyTori❤️🫣: “They will use spatula, a every big one, and rain don’t fall in Lagos like Benin and other states.”
