Dominica Chinwe, who claims to be a close friend of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has made serious allegations against the artist’s widow, Wunmi. In a recent interview with social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), Dominica accused Wunmi of launching a malicious campaign that almost ruined her life.
She revealed that the situation left her emotionally devastated for over two years, citing betrayal and manipulation, which involved false accusations and incited violence.
Her claims come shortly after she shared her version of the controversial NDLEA raid in which Mohbad was allegedly assaulted. Dominica said her fallout with Wunmi began not long after that incident.
“What I’m about to share now, I can swear with any juju because Wunmi almost destroyed my life. I was depressed for about two years because she made life miserable for me,” she stated during the interview.
Dominica recounted that once they were released from the NDLEA office, Wunmi tried to coerce her into lying to Naira Marley, asking her to say Mohbad had been poisoned by the agency.
“She told me to tell Naira Marley that I saw NDLEA give Mohbad something to drink, but I refused. Naira Marley had called to ask me directly, and I told him the truth that I didn’t see anything like that. Wunmi barged into my house after that, shouting and accusing me of betraying her and Mohbad,” she said.
According to her, what actually happened was that Mohbad asked for water and drank from a bottle on the table, which Dominica said she later finished herself. She noted that public attention had reduced tension due to a viral video about the incident.
Dominica further claimed that Wunmi later accused her of being the anonymous blogger Gistlover and leaking stories to platforms like NaijaEverything. She said one of the most hurtful incidents was when a false story circulated that she was dating Mohbad and pregnant with his child.
“Wunmi was right beside me in my room when the blog post came out. I showed her, and she said I should use it for clout. She even tried to repost it. I grabbed my phone, messaged the blog, and they deleted the post and apologized,” she added.
Despite that, the drama continued. Dominica said Wunmi went behind her back and told mutual friends, including her housemates, that she was leaking private information to Gistlover, especially about influencer Papaya.
“Papaya and a guy ganged up and beat me while others watched and even hyped them. They made a video asking me to confess. It was humiliating. Wunmi was the one I introduced to all of them as my friend, so it was easy for them to believe everything she said,” she said through tears.
