Award-winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid, has finally reacted after skit maker and musician Carter Efe publicly criticized him and declared loyalty to Davido’s 30BG crew.
Earlier, Carter Efe stirred up controversy during a live Instagram session with fellow artist Khaid, where he renounced being a Wizkid FC member and pledged allegiance to Davido. He expressed frustration over Wizkid’s continued silence despite his dedication, including releasing the viral song Machala in Wizkid’s honor.
In his outburst, Carter Efe described Wizkid as “too proud” and even referred to him as an “idiot,” a statement that drew heavy backlash from Wizkid’s loyal fanbase.
Following the drama, Carter Efe’s TikTok account with over 3.4 million followers and his Instagram page with 1.8 million followers were both taken down, allegedly by angry fans of Wizkid.
In what appears to be a subtle response, Wizkid took to his Instagram Stories on July 2, 2025, to post a cryptic message. He wrote:
“Told God, take everything evil out of my life, and I have been seeing signs, work with God.”
While he didn’t mention Carter Efe directly, many fans believe the post was a veiled reference to the controversy, signaling that Wizkid is unfazed by the noise and remains focused on spiritual clarity.
