Barrister Kenneth Imansugbon, the former Labour Party (LP) governorship flagbearer in Edo State, believes the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is the only vehicle for Nigeria to reach the promised land.
Imansugbon said this on Wednesday after officially joining the ADC, saying the party is an alternative that is out to effect genuine changes and will take Nigerians to Eldorado.
After obtaining his membership card, Imansuagbon told journalists in Benin City, the Edo State capital that he is joining the ADC because it is the only credible alternative that will be a genuine change in the country.
“Nobody can come from anywhere to rescue Nigeria, it is Nigerians that will rescue themselves. I am joining the ADC because I am tired of hunger, it is no longer hunger but starvation,” he said.
Imasuagbon pointed out that he couldn’t have been part of a political party whose leaders can’t ensure good governance, lamenting a high exchange rate among other alleged failures of the APC-led government.
Imasuagbon explained that by joining the ADC, he is ready to lead the battle for change and good governance, create employment for youths, provide good education and security among others.
“For me, I have an alternative now that is genuinely for change, alternatives that want to reduce food prices, love the common man, widows and students. That alternative is ADC,” he said.
“I moved from the Labour Party to the ADC because it is in line with my principle and aspirations of good governance.
“Nigerians should not entertain fear, I joined the ADC because it is the only vehicle for Nigeria to reach the promised land. Nobody can repair Nigeria other than Nigerians.
“People are asking why am I moving from one party to the other? I am tired of the killings, insecurity, poverty and the high cost of living.”
