Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has openly expressed his views about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the word “hardship” immediately comes to mind whenever he hears the president’s name.
In a recent interview with Soundcity, the “Wehdone Sir” crooner was asked what immediately comes to mind when he hears the name of Nigeria’s president. Without hesitation, Falz responded: “Hardship. No elaboration.”
Falz’s comment reflects growing frustration among Nigerians over the country’s economic challenges under the current administration.
Just last month, the rapper also criticized the state of the nation in an interview with Arise TV. He argued that Nigeria has regressed under Tinubu’s leadership, noting that little progress has been made since the start of his tenure. He further stated that the President still has two years left in office to prove himself and deliver real change.
Falz, known for using music and public platforms to speak out against social and political issues, continues to be one of the most vocal celebrity critics of the Nigerian government.

“If you examine the prevailing culture in a particular place, look at what is in their hearts and the conversations they are having. Those are the elements that shape behavior. So, if we can influence what people are talking about, we can influence how they behave it’s all about how the message is told.”
