Taking to his Instagram page, Verydarkman dismissed the widespread belief that Davido bankrolls him. He clarified that many things people assumed Davido did for him were actually funded by himself.
He explained that he personally paid for his trips to Lagos and his accommodation, contrary to public assumptions.
Verydarkman firmly stressed that neither Davido nor his team has ever given him a single dime.
He said in part …
“Anytime I talk about Davido people go say after all Davido has done for you. Davido flew you to Lagos. Davido has contributed to your NGO. The time I go to Lagos to go see Davido, na me pay my flight ticket. The hotel wey dey say Davido lodge me, na me pay for the hotel. But for entertainment purpose, we just leave am like that….”
