Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr has achieved a major milestone on Spotify, becoming the first African female artist to amass over 5 million followers on the popular streaming platform.

Known for her chart-topping single “Rush,” the Mavin Records star continues to break barriers in the global music scene. While she holds the record for the highest number of Spotify followers among African female artists, Ayra still ranks behind fellow Nigerian artist Tems in total streams.

As of now, Ayra Starr boasts a combined 2.7 billion streams across all credited works on Spotify. In comparison, Tems leads with an impressive 3.8 billion streams.

Among her tracks, “Santa” holds the title of her most-streamed song, having racked up more than 707 million plays. Meanwhile, her breakout hit “Rush” remains her most successful lead single, garnering over 474 million streams.

This latest feat adds to Ayra Starr’s growing list of accomplishments and cements her status as one of Africa’s fastest-rising music stars.
