Nwabali, who recently suffered the devastating loss of both parents within a short span, has been granted compassionate leave and excused from the national team’s trip to Russia to mourn and make necessary burial arrangements.
The NFF had previously sent condolences following the passing of his father. Upon learning of his mother’s death just months later, the federation again reached out with heartfelt sympathy. NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi acknowledged the emotional toll of such a loss and urged Nwabali to remain strong through this difficult time.
