The incident, which has gone viral online, reportedly occurred when the assailant dressed in military camouflage trousers and a Special Forces shirt approached the singer suspiciously. Portable, sensing danger, reacted quickly and confronted the man.
Upon apprehension, a dagger and a charm (juju) tied around the man’s waist were found in his possession. Despite the alarming circumstances, the man claimed he had no intention of attacking the artist and insisted that he was part of a local task force.
In footage from the scene, the suspect was seen seated on the ground while Portable and bystanders questioned him, trying to uncover his true motive.
