Prince Adelaja Adeoye, the chief executive officer of Fendini Homes Limited, has been reportedly arrested over allegations of document falsification, forgery, and intimidation.

According to a report by First Weekly Magazine, the dispute centers on the ownership of Rayfield Garden City, an estate located within Alao Akala Housing Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Popular Social Media activist, Zara Onyinye on Monday June 17, 2025 made reported the development on her Facebook page.

The online platform reported that a statement by Dotun Akinfenwa, Convener of the Citizens Rights Group said Prince Adeoye was apprehended on June 14, 2025, in connection with the allegations. Akinfenwa noted that the documents in question allegedly pertain to ownership rights originally granted to Messrs. Privus Crest Limited—approved by the Oyo State Government through the Oyo State Public Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA).

The group further revealed that the forgery allegations were formally brought to the attention of the Inspector General of Police in a petition dated May 9, 2025.

“Following due process, approval was granted for the arrest of Prince Adelaja Adeoye for interrogation and further investigation.

“We gathered further that the shocking and damning evidence provided by the original project owner necessitated the prompt approval of the petition and the directive given for investigation and onward prosecution.

“The implications of document falsification and forgery are grave.

“Such actions constitute serious criminality, a breach of trust and legality, undermining the integrity of corporate partnerships and public institutions,” the statement read.

Akinfenwa added, “Our source who witnessed the arrest on June 14, 2025, said that Adelaja Adeoye initially resisted arrest, struggling with officers of the Nigerian Police.

“He asked that the premises be guarded by his private security and called for Amotekun as well as acquaintances in the state police division, even after being presented with an arrest warrant.

“It took the professionalism and calmness of the police officers to de-escalate the situation.”

Condemning all acts of fraud, forgery, and deception, Akinfenwa urged the appropriate authorities to pursue justice through all necessary legal channels.

“It is imperative that justice is served and that those affected receive the necessary support and protection.

“While we call on the general public to be wary of their investment choices and the integrity of people they trust with their investments, we also call on all individuals and institutions, including the Nigeria Police Force, to uphold the values of honesty, transparency, and mutual respect in all personal and professional engagements.

“Our organisation remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting integrity and defending the rights of individuals under all circumstances,” he said.

Efforts by THE WITNESS to reach Prince Adelaja Adeoye for comments were unsuccessful as of press time.
